Washhouse Shower Side Size:M Windows to the World atThe shower side of the washhouse at Elrington Colliery, captured in 2017. Built to service the mine's underground workforce, this building stood at the centre of the daily rhythm between the pit and the surface. Elrington Colliery operated from the commencement of coal production in 1930 until closure in December 1962. Part of the Elrington Colliery series.
