Perhaps one of easiest ways to get right into the heart of the Lake District is by walking the Moses Trod path that easily accessible from the Honister Slate Mine car park

Waiting and longing for the moment life comes back to the dormant vegetation

As it was midwinter when I visited this piece of woodland there was no real colour to see

but just hoping that we avoided the rain showers that were all around
