It was originally sold by Westend in Stockholm. It is made from Rhodia silk, a trade name for a high quality artificial silk (rayon) that was commonly used for ties during this period. It is possible that the tie was manufactured abroad and subsequently imported into Sweden. The tie features a fine small check pattern in shades of red and grey, giving it a subtle yet distinctive
