This is a beautiful cut of fordite with great patterns

I made this fordite necklace with Ohio sourced Fordite which occurred at a plant that paints parts for semi truck style freight-liners

I textured the back of the pendant and the bail then lightly antiqued them to bring out the patterns

The stone is domed and is about 3/4 of an inch across

When properly cut it exhibits blue flash when moved in direct light. I cut this moonstone in a domed teardrop shape. The way I cut moonstones is so that they will flash as they move while being worn so in a pendant it flashes when hung vertically or close to that.
